Hi guys. First time user. 1953 golden Jubilee.
I was plowing snow the other day all morning. Everything was working fine.
All of the sudden my 3 point arms wouldnt raise up anymore. I didnt hear any noise, no fluid leaks. I checked the fluid levels and everything seems fine. I unhooked the blade and the arms will move up and down freely by hand with no resistance. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Im a 42 year old man who recently lost my father to a stroke. This tractor was our little project together and he loved using it to brush hog my 10 acre Christmas tree farm up here in Michigan. it means a lot to me so any help would be appreciated to get her up and running again.

Thanks again

Lift arms are normal. You have lost hydraulics. Start by verfying pump is producing flow. Remove pipe plug from test port on right side of center section and connect a hose to the port. Put the end of the hose in the reservoir filler. Start the tractor. You should get a steady flow of hydraulic oil from the hose. If you get oil flow there replace the test port plug and remove the pipe plug in the top cover just below the operators sear. Connect the hose to the top cover port, put the other end in the filler as before, and start the tractor. When you raise the 3pt control lever you should get a steady flow of oil from the hose. The oil flow should stop when you lower the lever. After running those tests tell us what you have observed and we will move to the next phase.

TOH

Banderaband, I'll let those who know comment on your hydraulics! I want to know about your "handle"! Any relation to the Bandera Boys Band, originally from West Branch, Iowa?

Banderaband, TOH has you on the right track here.
I'm chiming in because I'm also in Michigan and may
have parts if you need them. I'm in Ionia county.

Did you have the PTO engaged? Sometimes it is the simple things. I highly suggest you invest in the Essential Manuals for your NAA -best tool investments you can make.
