O.K., who on here was I bidding against?

A whole lotta stuff went for some pretty decent prices. I had to quit buying so much so I wouldnt get a ticket from the Weighmaster on my way home!

I'll see you all there for parts pickup Sunday afternoon.

Saw this auction but didn't need anything. It's not too far from my house. Glad you got some things.

Thats true. A lot of early "N" stuff there like smooth axles and snap-in battery covers struggled to top 20.oo, A few 1939 engines sold for under 100.oo. Even the
Sherman trannies went cheap.

I guess the market has truly tanked for older tractors- thanks, Kubota. Thats too bad if you bought your Fords as Blue-Chip investments, but good times if you
just "need" some extra parts!

Luckily, I'll be dead (but probably still warm...) when my tractor auction -or scrappers feeding-frenzy- is held.

I purposely ignored the auction. I lived very close to that growing up...Like 1/2 mile South. Always wondered what lay at the end of that driveway.

Like some have said, I'd need a lot of spare parts, and a lot of cargo space to get it all home.

Found some info on another site...Kind of like a tractor registry.
Looks like Mr. Rice had quite a nice collection along with all the spare parts.

He certainly had a nice pole barn there with commercial shelving full of parts along the (40x80?) sidewalls. There were no complete tractors there, at least in
that barn, but with all the early 9N parts there, I woulda thought he had a few of those salted away too.
He musta lived there a long time- before everything around his oasis of buildings set back far off the road and wooded acreage was developed into condos and car
dealerships!

I moved into the area in 1986. They added the gas station acrossed the street shortly after that.

At the time, there was a whole bunch of woods and farms all the way north to Delaware.
It's changed quite a bit since then.
