11.2 x 28 Chains

Can't find a pair in the classifieds or on CL; any suggestions on where to pick up (preferably) a used set? They are clearly needed on the 8N, regular tires worked fine in the earlier 2-4" snowfalls. The last two were 8"+ and what would have been a simple hour with chains took me nearly 3 hours.

I have a set of ladder chains that will fit.

No perceptible wear but they are in SE IN.

Tough time of year to find used tractor tire chains.
Just for your info - I typically get
$100 for a set of simple 28" ladder chains
$150.00 for doubled up ladders
$200.00 for ladders with connecting chains

I'm in NH

They never sell in the summer, come winter everybody looking for a set.

Try adding a lot more weight to the rear
Look for tractors for sale with tire chains and make an offer on the chains
Bite the bullet and buy new
Hope for an early spring!

I'm pretty sure I have a pair Jim. I'm in Ionia county MI.
If you're interested send me an email and I'll dig them out
and get you some pictures and measurements if needed.

Thanks, Royse; lost your e-mail when I moved up here and had to change companies. But I am interested and you can get me at
< [email protected] >. If they fit 11.2 x 28's, I'll ride up when it's convenient for you. Thanks again, Jim
