Re: Best plug to use with Pertronix Electronic Ignitio

I just changed over my 8N from points to the electronic ignition like you're doing, & it's using the same 437 plugs it had. Starting is vastly easier now on mine than it was. This isn't cheap to do, but worth every penny in my opinion.

I did my 8N a year ago. Starts very easily, even in 20*F temperatures. And, no maintenance other than a few drops of oil on the distributor shaft occasionally. zuhnc

Same here, I changed mine some time ago and couldn't be happier. One less thing to maintain and no more poor running tractor with burnt points, not to mention the search for good quality points.

ya, that was one of the factors that shaped my decision too.

I went to a 6v Pertronix setup for mine. Nothing against points, but my configuration is awkward to deal with.

New NGK plugs and fresh, cut-to-length plug wires. I figured if I was going I'd go all in - Taylor Spiro-Pro 8mm wires. Prettiest stuff on her. She purrs like a kitten. :)
