Update on the 10-151 plow

I bought this plow back in May. Took it to the sandblaster and had
it completely sandblasted to bare metal. Just got it back so now I'm
getting some primer and paint on it to keep it from rusting.
Seems to be a nice piece. Should they be all red?
Next year I'll probably take it all apart and paint the parts individually.

Yepper. ALL Dearborn Implements were painted FORD VERMILLION (8N RED). The Dearborn 10-151 is a 10" Economy Plow. Not easy to find and 10" parts NLS. The coulters are the style used on the earlier Prior Model Dearborn Moldboard Plow. The Economy Plow, introduced in 1950, was a better design and had revamped coulters as well which did not use check chains. The new style had a positive stop to prevent the coulter from swinging into the tires or sideways. Gonna use it or just for show? What brand of paint did you use? Still got the ID Tag? A lot of fellas paint the coulter discs and the jointer blade faces black or a metallic/silver to simulate bare metal. Some just clean up to bare metal then clear coat. Looks real good. I wonder if that is my old plow. I had 18 Dearborn Plows at one time, a few 10", 12", and 14". I had a cool Dearborn/Ford Museum going at one time.

Thanks Tim, yes, I still have the tag. I took it off before I
sent the plow to the sandblaster so it wouldn't get damaged.
The paint is Tisco brand paint. It will mostly be for show.
