Jubilee with Sherman hi-lo shifting problem

Working on a cousins Jubilee Tractor was in barn for 8 years and than sat outside for 2 more years at cousins house not running or moving.
I got it running and had to split it to free clutch now back to gather and running driving.
Sherman only in high and will jump out on it's own, I can not shift it into low.
When I move shifter forward it grinds and will not go in low. What is in there that could be stuck and not moving for shifting it?
any help would be great, thank you

Oldiron29,The slider hub and gear dentials are probably worn is why it pops out of gear and just grinds when you attempt to put it in low range. It will need to be removed and torn down for inspection.Or removed and replaced with original input shaft.

Possibly but you will still have to take it apart to find out. Will it shift into standard gears?

Kirk I have been watching your you tube videos over and over on the Sherman. Thank you for posting, they are very helpful.
I think the slider is stuck now. It does move some High into N almost low but need to go farther to lock in. Will not pop out for Stannard.
I will keep moving shifter each day to see if it frees up. I will see how far my cousin wants to go?

You can pop the steering box and spray a shot of blaster or Kroil if it's one with exposed rails and keep working it. You can also pop the top off the sherman but I've only done that once and it's very hard to get out of the steering box hole and harder to line everything up to get back in. It's actually easier to split the tractor.
