What year do you think this 9N is?

The engine has been replaced. No serial number on it. Cast in late 46,

I cannot find any date castings in the rear axle or hydraulic pump,

nor on the transmission. Seems a bit odd to me, but it's what I got!

Aluminum dash, steel hood with hinged battery door. Solid rear

axle/fender bolts, single rib fenders, trans mounted neutral
safety switch and dipstick with remnants of chrome on the levers.

Smooth hubs and 32 inch rims. I'm guessing it may be a 1940?

The grease zerks on the front axle actually point aft.

Grease zerts on front spindles facing forward? If so my guess would also be 1940.

I would agree, 1940. My 9N is a 1940, but a little later than yours, I don’t have the key position where yours is, it was moved later in that year’s production, but the dash is aluminum, and my fuel door looks like yours.
