Ever since I saw a saw mill powered by a Case steam tractor I have been interested in tractors being used as a power source. I have seen Fordson and John Deere belt driven attatchments. This one was too cool not to post. Photo courtesy of Pinterest.

That's a Ferguson, not an 8N!

You are correct, sir! This was one of the implements only issued in the UK for the FERGUSON TE-20 Tractor when Harry started making his TE-20 in England in 1946.

I see it now. The cylinder head should have been my first clue but I was distracted. I could have used that roller a couple of months back.

No sir - that is a RubeGoldberg with positrac rear end.

To paraphrase Ray Stevens - "How did they get that tractor up there?"

The ramps allow you to fly it up there and down. You would need something in the front to allow you to back onto the roller.

Good thing it's not an 8N with it's ridiculously high reverse gear.

ood idea now that I know what I am looking at. First thought I had was the 8N reverse speed getting it up there.

If one did put an 8N up there, it might be safer to hook a cable to the 8N and pull it up from the rear with another tractor.

Fordsons had many machines built around them, and Oliver sold a lot of "power paks" to manufacturers of various pieces of equipment.
