As I've posted before I'm getting new tires for my N. I'm
redoing my wheels and repainting them, I think they look good,
I'm cleaning it all up and going to repaint the whole thing
eventually, because I want to. Restoring it from top to bottom I
wish but don't have the space to do it, like trying to work on a
car in an outhouse, it seems to be working good, I will do my
best to replace whats needs to be replaced. Got a couple small
minor leaks, couple drops from pro a week and maybe a drop from
trans every two weeks, water pump is just starting maybe a drop
a week, but it is not loose, so that is on the to do list. Some
people think I'm crazy, but I don't care. When I do have it out
alot of kids around like to go on a ride on it. Okay back to the
wheels, fronts piece of cake, the rear couldn't believe how some
of the nuts were on so tight, I have no impact gun so breaker
bar did the trick, a couple were tight all the way out, nut was
so hot couldn't even grab it. After the wheels were off decided
to check brakes, the right side the pedal is very low, was
surprised how easy the screws came out, 1 whack with the impact
tool and out they came, even with a little wiggling the drums
came off. The left side were good, no oil, could last another
lifetime, the dust band fell apart though, the right, no oil but
nothing left to them??? So another project. My biggest problem
is parts, hope no one takes this the wrong way, but I'm jealous,
being north of the border parts are a pain to get, I can get
them, just a pain. Right now I need a valve for my fuel shut-
off, I'm using a lawnmower fuel valve at the moment, it works, a
fuel line, using neoprene line right now, compensator spring and
bracket, and a few other minor parts. The problem is shipping,
example, fuel valve, about 14, then comes shipping, I'm talking
maybe 40-50 shipping, seriously, you get my point, sorry just
venting, but I still like my N. Thanks for listening.
