Restored 9N

Haven't been on here in awhile. Been restoring my new house and building a garage/workshop.Took me around 3 years. Now I needed something to work on in my new shop. Bought a '41 9N in early June. Owner said it had been restored before he got it. It has new wheels (4) and a few other parts. it has been painted but they didn't do a real careful job cleaning it up. He couldn't get it running, no spark. He didn't want to spend a lot of money getting it going, so I got it for a pretty decent price. I put in a new battery and an ignition switch. Started right up and runs good. No smoke and 20psi oil pressure.

Does anyone know what the bracket on the 3 point hitch is for? It appears to crowd the lift arm to one side or the other.

To me it looks like some sort of side hill hitch scheme.
Could be useful if pulling a tow behind planter.

That's not a factory installed device, but looks like it keeps the lift from tracking side to side on it's own. I've never
seen one like that.

(quoted from post at 16:47:23 08/17/20) Looks like it was designed to hold an implement centered or offset it to either side.

I'm thinking.....someone went to a LOT of trouble,....when they could have accomplished what THAT will do.....by installing a set of 'Stabilizer Bars'.
Kinda like, a 'New idea for a Mouse-trap'!!??????
