The length of a boom has depends on how high the 3-Pt lift will go. A bigger issue is how to keep the front end down so it doesn't come off the ground when lifting an implement. I'd add 16" from wheels and tires with the 2-PC wheel weights AND some extra weight hanging off the bumper. The N will lift most implements like plows, discs, cultivators, but don't plan on a Grain Drill, Combine, Picker, or Baler. I suggest to set boom top link to the shortest setting possible, attach Stabilizer Bars, and GO SLOW. You MIGHT be able to lift it into your pickup bed. Roll overs are the single most cause of accidents as fellas don't know how to lift or haul logs correctly. Pulling/hailing logs and other items is done properly from below the PTO shaft.
