Know Toledo, loggers shop close.
I'm in South Bend on hwy 101 mile 52.
Just purchased 47 8n and am doing seals
and brakes. Bucket list of jobs.
Then will see how the hills on farms are
for tractor.
Tree farmer and doing a thinning and
tractor is new skidder/hauler for logs
and trailer.
Looking at starting a working club of
owners who can share time, tools and
experience with other owners.
I am looking into a splitter for clutch
replacement and other issues internally.

I use mine for brush and grass clearing on 5 acres and a little front loader work but have a two bottom plow, small disk, and back blade. Just doing an overall of the hydraulic top cover and position control. Have another thread going on getting the top cover apart which ended up breaking. Another on the way.

There is what I think is a 49 or 50 8N about a mile from me and I just heard about a guy in Olympia that was restoring a 47 8N(?) and wants to sell it for restoration or parts.

Do not attempt to pull a loaded trailer down hill with a 8n, brakes not good enough and trailer will push tractor even with brakes locked up and tires skidding. Do not pull from any point higher than the drawbar, tractor will flip in a heart beat if pull point is too high and log snags on something. Point is, keep it safe!

In Reardan , Wa. now, but lived in Skagit valley for 8 years. Worked for JDV Farm & Trucking in Mt. Vernon.
