Jim in Central Michigan

So long to Eastern NC! Seems like I've moved to the Hastings area and found a heat wave that feels just like home. I have been assured that things will change in a few months. Both 8N's survived the trip and are working fine; one with the bushhog is busy recovering fallow fields from a few years non-use, and the other seems to have a new career turning up rocks. My home county has no rocks, just sand and broken sea shells and shark's teeth, but this soil is a new adventure for me; it is really rough on implements that penetrate the soil. I have admiration for the generations past that piled up dozens of rock piles all around the field borders; one could build a castle out of stone from just one field. I will have to find something to build. So hello to the Ford tractor guys up here; when I see you, I'll be the one who everyone says talks funny.

I am having trouble changing my username, so bear with me for awhile until I figure that out.

Thanks! It's sure different. My son's in-laws who have farmed here for generations said they are Canadian rocks picked up by glaciers and left here when they melted. It is all very interesting.

Oh, you did say Hastings. West-central Michigan. You will have to learn how to hold up your hand and point to an area. LOL
Just a piece of trivia: St. Louis, Michigan is the geographic center of the lower peninsula.

Welcome back Jim! :D
You not only found the heat wave but all the nnalert-19 stuff.
Be safe and settle in. I hope to catch up with you soon!

Thanks, Royse; I don't think we're too far apart. My two grandsons are totally nuts over the 8N's, I hope to bring them up to your place and show them a "real" tractor man!
