Just got my new engine running after letting it sit for a while while I finished another project up but now I
am trying to figure out how to mount my small single wire alternator. Does anyone have any pics of how they
made up their bracket. I have a small Denso alternator and welding or machining is no problem.

I don't know of any store brought aftermarket bracket for mounting anything the the left side of a early N block : (... You will have to fab it up... Its doable I mounted a hydraulic pump to one Zane and TOH have also made pump brackets for that style application...

I would have to dig deep for pix... I have seen post for what you are looking for its doable...

re you wanting to mount it on the left or right?

On my 9 N I used strap iron behind oil filter fastened by both oil filter bolts. Go forward to water pump pulley 90 degree right turn and cut out 1/2 moon to rest against water pump housing.
Then I attached small piece to flat plate on water pump as this hole was not being used for anything. Then weld on ears to strap to mount alternator.
My belt tensioner attaches to timing cover and is on bottom of alternator. Up side down from normal. You have different oil fill than I do so that is different story. I used a Delco 10 or 12 SI so physically bigger than your alt.

An Idea in this post. I used the oil filter mounting bolts added a bracket from where the front axle support bolts to the engine block and ran a support to the oil pan bolts that ran toward the rear/center of the engine. If you were to remove the water pump, timing cover and axle support the front of the block would be flat and parallel, The tab with a nut on the rear water pump bracket and where the front axle support bolts to the engine will be your guild as to where to set the front of the alternator mounting brackets.

If you can locate a pix of THO live hydraulic set up thet would be another way to do it...

Thanks Den thats what I was thinking about. Did you just bend a piece of flatbar for the bracket to fit over
the water pump inlet

Skip,Yes a piece of flat stock bent around the water pump inlet and two holes drilled in it.Then a flat piece in the back mounted to the water pump bracket for the back side of the alternator.
