8N Rear Wheel Help

I've got an old 8N that's been in the family forever. At some point we think the rear wheels were replaced and wider tires were installed. Several years ago I had the rear tires replaced and reinstalled new 12.4-28 tires. The rims were rusted so bad we had to put in patch plates for the tubes to sit on.

Now one of the rims has rusted to the point that it's pinching the tube and ripping it. I am going to order a new ring for that side before we break it down but am not sure if it is a 10", 11" or 12" wide ring. I am planning to reuse the new 12.4-28 tire that is currently installed. Anyone know what size ring would be used with a 12.4 tire?

I have a wholesale distributor I can purchase from with my company I just don't know which to purchase and they are not much help selecting the correct one.

Common - 9 x 28 Wheel (For 9.5-28 & 11.2-28 tires)
Common - 10 x 28 Wheel (For 11.2-28 and 12.4-28 tires)
Common - 11 x 28 Wheel (For 12.4-28 and 13.6-28 tires)
Common - 12 x 28 Wheel (For 13.6-28 and 14.9-28 tires)

A 12.4 tire would typically mount to an 11 inch wheel.

A narrower wheel will make your tire "Ballooned" out on the sidewalls. Some people like this.

A wider wheel will make your tire "Straighter" up on the sidewalls. Some people like this.

You can only go so far though. For a 12.4 I would keep the wheel to a 11 or 10 inch

If you measure your old wheel width, be sure you are measuring correctly. Not complete overall width, just from inside bead to inside bead.

Thank you that is what I assumed. I would have measured what is on there but with the tire still mounted it's not that simple.
