gas tank length

I'm needing the length of 8N gas tank so I can use it on my 454 IH . My fabricater guy can make it work if 34" or less. Used tank is $500 locally and new 8N tank is $114 or less.

8N gas tank is right at 24" OAL.

Please send a picture when it is finished. My gas 574 rusted between the
tank and the fenders. I found a 454 diesel tank for $300.oo in nice shape.
Boy did the gas cut the diesel slime out of that tank! It took a few fuel
filters to get it all. I considered strapping a couple boat tanks on the
fenders, but then I luckily found a bone yard in Delaware that had one.
