Im new to owning a tractor and I have a 1951 Ford 8n. I need a box blade to help restore and old road on my new property, but which are compatible? I thought all the 3 point attachments where the same, but I guess not. Please help!!

Welcome to the tractor habit! I have used an 8N a LOT w/a 4' box blade. Make sure it's a category 1 & has scarifier teeth!
Where are you located? My son has one for sale in central Iowa.

Good morning: I don't want to steal the conversation, but I would like to know if box blades are still popular. I have one I used for one project 20 years ago, it has sat in barn ever since.

I have and use a 4 foot box blade behind 8N BUT I also have an angle blade that I use. The box blade is good to rip out pot holes but you cannot pull gravel back onto the road with it. Moral of this story, you really need Both. Best yet is a tractor for every implement.

I have a 64" roll over box blade that I've been using every winter to repair the dirt road leading to my property. I live on 5 acres in a rural area in the hills and there are lots of box blades around here. Also lots of water "running" in these hills.

Just because you don't use yours doesn't mean other people don't. But it must be nice to not need one.

Hilly road also. I use a 48 inch box blade at least once a summer to rip up pot holes and frost heaves. I then use a 5 foot blade to re-crown and smooth the road.
