9N Polarity Backwards Electronic ignition

Any input would be greatly appreciated and may save me some time and $. I was converting my early 9N from 6v pos ground to 12v neg ground, and installed new electronic ignition (12v coil). I clearly wasnt paying attention and hooked up the batt as pos ground and let the smoke out of the alternator, which I assume now is fried. I also fried the starter switch but I touched off the + lead on the starter using a jumper cable and will turn over. I couldn;t get it to fire that way so I pulled a plug to check spark and - no spark. Finally - my question is, do you think I fried the 12v distributor and/or the electronic ignition as well? I checked continuity and resistance across the coil and got about 2.4 ohms which I assume is good, but not sure.

I doubt that you fried the starter switch, if you have the orginial one. it would not care what the polarity is.

Thanks guys, not the news I was hoping for, but the news I expected. Know of any ways to check the EI before I throw the points back in it? Regular old points will work with a new 12v coil/system right?
