Dearborn blade for 8n

Hello, I have an early Dearborn scrape blade made for the 8n tractor, I just have a question about it, when I remove the threaded bolt to swivel it, the blade seems to want to separate and it is a real pain to get it to swivel and then reingage the threaded bolt.
Is this normal, or maybe mine is wore out or missing a piece?
Just curious if others have this problem or if that s just how they work. It is the early style with pipe for the frame and a straight rod through the ends of the pipe frame to connect the 3 point arms to
Any insight would be appreciated
Thanks

If you have a Dearborn blade, there are two pins. The threaded bolt is what the blade pivots on and stays in place. There is a second pin that aligns and locks the angle position. The threaded bolt is only removed to remove the blade itself from the rest of the frame.

This is the blade I have, should it have the 2 pins you mentioned.
I ll have to look harder , I didn t see them when I was using it, but didn t know where to look.

Well that will teach me to spout off without verifying which dearborn blade you were working with lol! Pay no attention to my previous reply as it pertains to a front blade not a back blade. Most back blades have a welded construction pivot and a stick pin to lock the pivot.
