Pics of $500

Pics of the toy. I got it home and gave a slight tug on the fan blade and the crank moved. This is after the owner saying the engine has
been frozen for 20 years. Hmm. . . Don't have a desperate need for money and fixing one up might also help to thin out my selection of
other 8N parts. The wife mighty need some convincing though. . .
Tomorrow I pick up the Back Blade. It had a data plate on it, looked like a bullet shaped Ferguson. Didn't desire to look too close with
the owner standing there. Owners get annoyed when you fix it in front of them.
Now to see if I can post pics as promised. . .
This was brought home primarily for the rear wheel weights.
Side dist, no proof meter, 6V original and will stay 6V original.
This might actually be a very close restoration. Eventually, maybe, after a lot of things.
Such as the Demonstrator as seen in the last pic, which is waiting on the 881D which is waiting on. . . .

What a steal!
Weights, tires and a tool box too
Such a deal
All for $500, it couldn't be true. :)

$500 for a non running tractor is a fair price. Especially when told the engine was frozen for 20 years.
A few things I need to look into, The tool box on the fender? Ign key stuffed under the dash and doesn't look right just from what I briefly
noted without looking under the dash. I am thinking about adding a proof-meter to this machine.
The steering box is extremely hard to turn. A few things to fix along the way.

Wow! You got a whole tractor! I'm referring to the three point top link. They were standard when the tractors was bought new. You seldom see a top link with a sold used tractor.

Agree with the industrial motor, under hood dust bowl? How much weight were you lifting with you orange machine?

Wayne,

I guess I was even luckier than I thought. Mine came with two top links; an OEM and a British made one and a table full of other pieces.

That weight plate is about 600 pounds. About the same weight as the filled rear tire. The tire being a bit heavier I believe, also filled
with 43 gallons of calcium.

The industrial engine probably does not have sleeves and valve seats are not case hardened. I have a 2N with a late model 8N side mount and there are no sleeves in it.
