Oil pump repacement yes or no?

I am rebuilding an early 8N engine. I am taking the block and crankshaft to machine shop this week. The block looks surprisingly clean. The engine has the 9/16" oil pump gears. Is it worth the extra expense of a new front main cap and line boring to change to 3/4" gears if the original pump is in good condition?

That would be a personal opinion. It's a 30% increase in displacement and goes a long way toward fixing a chronic design issue with the engine. I have given up skrimping on engine builds so if it were my engine and having seen the oil delivery problems I would upgrade.
