Currently Restoring a 1952 8N. When I took apart the rear axle assemblies I discovered 2 different seal assemblies. One side with the Outer retainer (A8NN4248A), the other without and grease packed bearing which appeared to have the other seal "assembly". The axle and hub with the grease is worn to the point that it needs to be replaced. The hub must have been replaced at some point evident by only 2 bolts to attach the brake housing. My serial number conflicts with the part number above and am wondering does it really matter which style to go with. I do not want to pack bearings if I do not have to.
Thanks for any input.
