Dog-
The steel wheels would be well worth the $650 price alone. I see I-Beam rad rods so B-4 1944, and it has a generator (though it isn't a tractor on it, car likely)and can't tell by pix but doesn't show any signs of a warhorse model otherwise. "Not running" could be one or more issues but I'd suspect electrical first. If block not cracked, this would be an ideal project for somebody looking for a 9N. Could replace wheels with ones on rubber and sell off the steelies to finance them with at least that is what I would do.

Close to me. What do you think the steel wheels are worth? I was thinking they were not worth anything. Who would want them?

I think Tim guestimated the value on the
steel wheels pretty well.
If a guy dedicated it to plowing and
discing it would be nice/fun to have.
If you don't mind, where are you located?
I'm on the north end of the Twin Cities.

The steel wheels were around on tractors from the beginning, long before Goodyear invented vulcanized rubber. The Ford-Ferguson 9N model offered steel wheels from early 1940 on -and long before the warhorse model was introduced. One of the biggest myths/misconception about the Ford N-Series Tractors is that every 2N Model was a steel wheeled vehicle. Not true. Only the OEM 2N warhorse model used steel wheels in production. Warhorse production did not begin until October, 1942 and only lasted til April/May 1943, and only approximately 12,000 units were built give or take. Civilian production models were halted on February 10, 1942 per the US War Board restrictions on all US manufacturing, not just Ford. Thus, the steel wheels are now mostly sought after by folks trying to restore or make their own warhorse model. I've seen steel sets go for as little as $50 at auctions and up to $1000 per set as well. Many times pairs are seen as the front or rear only so finding all four is a good deal. As Dean also said, they are a great use for thorny, unworked fields. Here's an old link from an old friend, David "Stumpy" Knowles(NH), who did a short plowing YOUTOOB video on his restored warhorse -see LINK.
