TSX 33 carb

Fuel is still leaking from the carb. I originally thought it was seeping from the gasket below the nozzle (9N 9530). Replacing that did not help.
With the carb bowl in a vice and filled with gas you can see gas slowly coming up the economizer & idle opening"s (see arrows). It then seeps over and goes past the gasket & venturi (9N 9586) and then down past the nozzle, past the choke plate and onto the floor.
I understand why the gas comes up the two openings, but, how is it getting past the gasket and venturi? I have used a file on both sections.
We have owned this tractor for many, many years. This "seeping" just up and started about 5-6 months after I rebuilt the card about a year ago.
Tractor starts very easy and runs great.
Main gasket is brand new.
Venturi is metal and "appears" good. (?)
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks, Tom/Idaho

bowl in a vice and filled...". The bowl should never be "filled". The properly set/functioning needle & float will only fill it to about 3/8 of an inch below your gasket surface. My 8N shown

If your gasket is good fuel shouldn't get past it.
Since you had to file it, try laying it face down on a pane of glass.
You should be able to see if it is flat on the glass that way.
If it is not, I put a piece of sandpaper on the glass and rub the
bowl on the sandpaper to sand it down flat on the glass.
You can do this with both halves, but the top half is trickier
because of the float mounting "goal posts".

As I said before, this started about 6 months after the rebuild. The float does not leak

The properly set/functioning needle & float will only fill it to about 3/8 of an inch below your gasket surface.

I had forgot about JMOR"s test so I will try it now.
