Last summer took the top off My n to do some rewiring that was messed up, When taking off the O.E.M. voltage regulator the screws, studs, forget the name of them, they are rubber mounted, well the rubber on these studs just turned to dust in my hand. Right now I have little pieces of rubber between the regulator and the frame where the regulator attaches. Is there anywhere that I can purchase the original rubber studs for the regulator?

Sounds like you have the original AUTO-LITE Voltage Regulator used on the 8Ns and up see PIC. You can get a new aftermarket unit to replace it with or try and to your own patch job. The rubber insulators are needed to prevent shorting out. Do you have the 8N generator belt tensioner?
