Govenor Rebuild

I got my governor apart on my 8n. This one does not have the proof meter. The balls all had multiple flat spots and the lower race had numerous divits. Ordered the Governor Repair Kit, Basic Part Number BOK12502 . The upper race looked good.

When I took mine apart, I did not have the fiber washer 357319. According to my part book, the fiber washer is used in 8n 18204-b or c governor.

Not sure which I have, a, b or c. My rebuild instruction mention the fiber washer and not sure I need it. Any ideas? I don't see where you can buy one anyway, maybe its a mute point.

I'm not sure about the importance of the fiber washer, however, it can be gotten through New Holland dealers for about $1.75, or NUMEROUS places on-line, GOOGLE "Ford 357319".
