1954 NAA Hydraulics Problem

Short summary - 3-point hitch won?t lift. Gusher of fluid at
Allen plug on pump with no bubbles when you crack it open.
No fluid comes out from pipe plug under front right of seat (it?s
in the plate with five bolts).

Long story - tractor was my dads. He passed away in 1997.
My brother used till he got sick about 10 years ago and later
passed away. It sat outside for several years.

I winched it on a trailer about 6 or 7 years ago, brought it
home and got iit going. Changed the hydraulic fluid, but lift
wouldn?t work. Ordered the gasket/ o ring kit for the top cover
and removed. I replaced an o ring on a small valve that was
stuck (unloader or control?) can?t remember. After that the lift
worked. It has sat under a shelter since then not being
cranked. Finally restoring now. Got it cranking and running
good, fixed radiator, new water pump, manifold, rebuilt carb,
wiring, etc. but the lift won?t work. Like I said above lots of
fluid at pump, nothing at pipe plug under seat. That little valve
stuck again? Open to advice.

Thanks

It is very likely the unloading valve stuck again. The unloading valve must have the correct oring on it as well so that it will seal and still move freely. An easy test on the NAA is to remove the acorn nut on the right side and push in on the back pressure valve to see if the 3 point hitch will work.
