Generator alignment

Hello everyone,

I've started tearing into the ol' girl, a 1950 8N, for some much needed attention. I need some help from the experts, please.

One of the many things is the generator is misaligned; eyeballing it looks ~3/8" off:

The crank and water pump pulleys look aligned to each other.

Is there a cure for this?

Many thanks in advance!

Hunkydory,Does the generator have any shims or spacers in the mounting bracket that has it shimmed forward or mounting brackets bolted on wrong.

Gentlemen, thank you for your advice. When I remove it I will check how it is mounted and try reversing the pulley.

Update: That right 'roundtuit produced itself and the generator magically made its way to the bench. :)

As you predicted, reversing the pulley solved the problem.

Many thanks for your insights!
