Hey!

I mistakenly left my ignition on over a couple of days and drained the battery. I have a charger that will work for 6v batteries. With the Positive Ground, what is the proper way to hook up the charger? (My instructions for the charger burned up in last year's house fire....)

Thanks!

With my 6v charger on my 2n with postive ground, I have to hook up the postive wire from the charger to the postive pole on the battery (which is the ground) or I knock out the charger's reset switch. My $.02

If you don't get it, or understand that he just wants verification, DON'T SAY ANYTHING. Making ignorant comments helps no one.

Now that you have confirmation, you can rest at ease and charge the beast back to life.

I suspect that high school auto shop classes have ruined a lot of common sensibilities regarding mechanical systems. I also agree that no matter how green I was when I first got my N, I never thought to place th posative lead to anything but the positive pole.

I think the confustion is when they hear that the 6 volt system is a positive ground. They think that the wires have to be crossed to charge properly because the ground is positive.

Good thing you paid a little extra - a lot of guys have fried chargers or batteries with the cheap ones.
