(quoted from post at 03:22:07 02/12/20) Hello,
I have a 1948 8N with a 6 cylinder. Is there a preferred profmeter that will hold up to the elements? It must be able to read a 6 cylinder.
Thanks
(quoted from post at 12:21:22 02/12/20) I prefer on drivin off of the distributor. There are alternator drivin ones as well.
hat's OK, as all electronics is good for is to fail & be non-repairable! Hey, I am a 30 year practicing electronics engineer. Just look around, computers, wi-fi, Boeing 737 MAX, and on and on!!! If it has software, it will be a disaster, especially if auto-update is turned on.(quoted from post at 22:57:12 02/24/20) Yeah that is all explained in my previous post. Seems folks tend to catch on slow when they do not read ALL of the post. Even got a few answers that didn't have questions.
I read all of the post and to be honest at times my first impression will change by the time I get done reading. Not ashamed to admit I don't always get the point though.

fter several days and at least 4 hours cumulative with Samsung 'help' on both internet chat & telephone, the best they ever came up with is, "the WI-FI in televisions isn't as strong as in computers & cell phones", so your wireless access point at 15 feet away from TV is too far, we recommend no more that 6 feet!!!!??? After all this, I finally ran an ethernet cable to place wireless access point 2 feet from TV, and it worked! So, then I moved it ~2 feet away each time & at ~5 feet, OK, but at 7-8 feet, intermittent signal loss & at 10 feet total disconnect! Asked friend with Samsung & he has pretty much same experience. I'm in the process of running cable direct to TV from cable modem, even though a cable from wireless access point device to TV works. For best coverage of whole house, I need the wireless access point more centralized.(quoted from post at 11:27:11 02/25/20)(quoted from post at 11:06:27 02/25/20)know & today & for last week, I'm cussing my Samsung "Smart" tv to the point that the dog runs & hides!(quoted from post at 08:23:46 02/25/20)(quoted from post at 04:40:43 02/25/20)hat's OK, as all electronics is good for is to fail & be non-repairable! That's funny  I needed to replace an older TV in the family room last month and i was browsing the TV aisle on my weekly trip to Sam's when a comely young thing walked up and asked if she could help. Naturally I said yes. The next question was did I want a Smart TV?. You know me, that question took us down a rabbit hole on what was and wasn't a "smart" TV. She eventually left me to my own devices and moved on to a customer with easier questions.
I have a 60" "dumb" TV in the downstairs family room and wound up with an LG on the basis of price for a 65" screen and picture quality. I must say their WebOS user interface and the "magic remote" are less than intuitive. I do however love the WiFi connectivity and I have been watching a lot of free content via my ISP. I feel another assimilation coming on - Dish may be on life support.....

want my turrent tuner, comb volume on/off TV back, where I had to walk 7 feet thru shag carpet to change channels.(quoted from post at 13:40:47 02/25/20) Smart TV in the bedroom about 20 feet away from the WiFi. Works fine.
Seems at least some smart TVs have decent WiFi parts.
