Ford 8N with Everett Trencher, blade

Howdy Gents,
I have recently become the caretaker of a 8N that has a very crazy looking Everett trencher on the back of it and a hydraulic blade and counterweights on the nose.

It supposedly runs and the trencher operates , appears to be complete.

So what is a machine like this worth? I need to transport it soon and need to decide what to do with it.

I know pics would help but until its in my back forty that will have to wait.

Any info would help and thanks.

Potential buyers for the complete unit are probably scarce. The Everett transmission. hydraulic pump, and blade would probably sell for close to the price of an 8N.

And then there's the front mount/side mount distributor question, condition of the tires, paint, running or supposedly running and of course, location.

We can't tell anybody the value of anything based on just text descriptions; pictures help sell anything much better than without. There is so much that matters just with
the tractor alone and the Everett Trencher is no longer serviced so parts are rare as hen's teeth to find. "RAN WHEN PARKED" is a misnomer, and often means it hasn't been
tested. Prices for vintage tractors and implements have been down the past ten years or so and nowadays a decent running 8N can be had for $1200-$1500 on average, maybe
more if a few implements are also tossed in.

That is such a rare item That you need to take to any and all tractor shows even if not complete or running. Just let people have a chance to see such a rare item. Ford feature show a few years had a restored one there. Only one I have ever heard of or seen. Take it even if you have to leave it on a trailer because it does not run.

Glimpses of the trencher at work in this ford video.

That was a pretty cool video. I was surprised to see the size of that auger they had on there. Knowing your equipment and the environment your are working in.

It's amazing to me how many implements were available to the 8n. On a side note... how come the narrator on all these old films always sounds like the same guy?

3000FPS, that auger was for shrubs going ten inches into soft fill as opposed to fence posts going three feet into virgin dirt..
