R.G.;
Have not seen ya posting for awhile.....Getting ready to go 'Rock-hounding' already??? :shock: Kinda crisp out just yet!!!
I heard tell of some trucks running amuck over the hill from Missoula!!! I'm guessing the pass to Idaho, has a lot of 'Black Ice' still lurking on the roads thru there.
We had 2 below zero early this morning, but it is starting to warm up slowly!!! (30 deg. F. right now) I'm just hoping we won't have any wind with the eve. snow we are supposed to get!!!
Elect. are in jepardy when the mountain wind starts flipping trees.!!

Hi Pat;
Yep....Duo links....Dang good chains.....Power steering....good brakes and tires.....Diesel engine (3 cyl)....Foot accelerator....and Diffy lock.
Everything I wanted, and found it right here in our town.!!! No trailering or shipping. We just roaded it down to my place, and started fixen things....gaskets...leaks....oil changes....anti-freeze change.....And started working the P out of it!!!!
NOT CHEAP tho!!! $6000.

Just what I had been looking for!!!!

I enjoy these posts about B G Gary.
They remind me of when I went from a 2N
to my first 3 banger. It was a plain jane
2000 gasser with a 4 speed. No PS, no
diff lock and no live pto. But it did
have live hyds which I marveled at.
It took me several more tractors to get
the options that you have. Fixing up,
selling, parting out, adding the cool
stuff to mine. Being delighted with each
new option as I got it. So I can imagine
your marveling at getting the whole
package in one fell swoop. Learning how
simple they are, how much more capable.
How much more interesting.
They are still just old tractors. Yours
is nearly 50. I have one that's nearly
54. Compared to a new Kaputa or a Yawnmar
or Messy Ferguson they're just a relic.
But they are still a marvel.
Keep singing their praises Gary. Tell the
fellows here they're worth it - because
they are. I know they are.

I have a cuzz that lives on a mountain around Casper Wyoming he lives off the grid this is a pix he posted on Facebook last night.

If I had found the time today I would have broke up my garden with my 3000 : )

I'm surprised Les still lets you drive it instead of her taking over! :lol:
Lots of mud here, not much else.
I've only used my 3000 snow mover once this season.
But, I'm not complaining. You can have the snow and ice!

That pipe is what I put on the exhaust pipe, when the engine is running in the shop. Keeps the diesel smoke and smell out of the shop, and puts it outside. It is just temp., and I just get lazy sometimes. Didn't take it off.....does not hurt to run with it on there!!!
Once I get a little $$'s saved up, I'll be replacing the whole exhaust, with an 'Under the tractor system'. Then I won't need the extension pipe anymore!!

Hobo;
When I was around 13 to 15 yr old, I worked on ranches around Casper and Sinclair Wyo. That is REAL Ski and snowmobile country up there. (HUGH SNOW) Country up high!!!!
