Rear wheel slack/wobble??

I am in the process of doing a modest refurbish on my 46 2N. I have noticed if I shake the rear wheels I get some slack, or wobble.
It does not seem excessive but the clearance is there. Is this a normal thing or should I troubleshoot it soon to find the issue?
I know with the height of the tire the amount of movement is amplified/exaggerated due to the circumstance of the wheel. Is some side to side shake normal? Sitting in the shop I can rock the wheels side to side a small amount.

I know I am using my opinion/judgement and it s hard to convey what I am seeing online. I m sure if I tried I could give a measured number but I d have to be creative.

Hub and axle wear in 9/2Ns is not the problem that it is in 8Ns because the they are one piece or riveted together. Jack the tractor up so
that both wear wheels are free. With the tractor in neutral, rotate one of the tires. The other rear tire should move in the opposite
direction. This will check the bearing load.

Gant,The hub is made on a 9N 2N As H Cooke said,Jack it up and check play,Sounds like a axle bearing has went bad and that is where the slop is coming from.

I ll check it in a week or so, I will be pulling the rear wheels off soon anyway to repaint them.

Thanks for the help. This forum and the experienced members has been a Godsend already.

i pulled the rear wheels for painting last weekend. while in the air in neutral i rotated each wheel, the opposing wheel also rotates. i think the slop i feel is normal or close to it. i'm sure with such a large circumference wheel diameter the small amount of slack at the hub is multiplied to a larger amount at the ends of the wheel.

for now, i will call this ok. thank you guys for the advice
