So as some of you may remember, I had just put my 8n into the garage for the winter. I took the blade off, and left it in the barn.
When it starts snowing, my wife asks me when am I going to go plow the snow. So I go start the tractor in the garage, lift the arms, and drive it over to the barn. When I get to the rear blade, I can't get the arms to drop enough. I do finally get the blade on, with the help of a hoist and floor jack.
Here is the major problem: even with the blade on, the rear arms won't drop all of the way.
I am thinking that I may have started up the tractor and raised the arms, without allowing the oil to start moving in the lift pump.
Any ideas on what I should check for? I can take pics. Before this issue started, the arms attached to the top cover would almost lay parallel to the ground, when in the down position. Now, they are probably 20-30 degrees up.
