Ford 8N pulling a Bog Harrow

I have a 1948 Ford 8n that came with a Bog Harrow. I read somewhere that the 8n does not have enough power to pull a Bog harrow. I know it will pull my 4 row harrow but the bog harrow has larger disc. Please advise?

My advise is to take your 8N out with the Bog Harrow on it and see how it does. Then let us know.

It really depends in how large of a
harrow it is.
Ford did build a Dearborn Bush and Bog
harrow under their Dearborn line of
implements. All of the Dearborn
implements were suitable for use with an
N as they were built during the
8N/Jubilee years. After that they
discontinued the Dearborn line and were
branded as Ford implements.
There were other brands bog harrows too
so we'd have to know more about yours to
know if an N would pull it effectively,
ie, width, number and size of the
blades, etc.
I had a Dearborn bush and bog harrow for
a few years. It worked okay but I didn't
have enough use for it and sold it when
I went all Blue.

Thanks for the info. I googled the Dearborn Harrow Harrow and mine looks just like it. So I feel comfortable that my 8N will pull it. Now I just have to figure out which of the three settings that I need to lock mine in>
