The little things

So this is my 3rd winter with my old 2N. Last winter I got sick of it not starting and installed a pertronix 6v morning osirive ground electronic ignition. Started and ran beautifully for a year. Then this weekend we get a snowstorm here in a Idaho and all of a sudden she doesn t want to start again!!! Took the plugs out to clean them because I could smell the gas and knew it was flooded. While taking the plug wires off I bumped the tiny wire to the coil. I had crimped and heat shrunk it but it popped out and low and behold I knew that was the reason it wasn t starting. Recrimped it and put new gear shrink on it and it cranksnocer and starts great again.

One tiny little wire... sometimes it s the little things!!

Sometimes I think my snow moving 3000 was allergic to or afraid of snow! Got all the wires done correctly, the right plugs, electronic ignition, carb rebuilt, etc, etc, etc,..... Now it starts easily & runs great!

Did you test the battery? Not simply charging it -if it won't sustain a full charge under load (specific gravity) it will never have enough power especially when cold to fire the ignition circuit. There's nothing wrong with going to a 12V job or even to EI but if the wiring is not correct no matter which setup you have, it will never start/run. Use a float charger (Battery Tender typical) when tractor is not running so it is good to go when needed. Essential Manuals are required; they are very important tools.

the smallest little part will shut the whole machine down. a 10 cent bolt can ruin 20 grand in parts

And here I am fighting skeeters in January : (... I had to spray round up grass was growing/taking over in my walkway around the house... I bet the fishing is good now but who has time to fish...

Ever notice it seems that some people have all the time to do things they want, while others never seem to have enough time.
Funny thing is we ALL have exactly the same amount time in a day. 24 hours.
While there are some things we have to do, there are also some things we want to do.
I don't think it has as much to do about time as it does about priorities, as this story illustrates:

From the article "22 Successful People Confess the Best Advice They ve Always Relied On" published in the Reader's Digest Magazine February 2015:

On Time Management
[u:85d558121d]Reader s Digest told how (name deleted) handles time. She owns a construction company and has six kids, including twins. She never tells herself "I don t have the time." Instead she says "It s not a priority."
She confessed, "I could say I don t have time to make handmade valentines for all my children s classmates, but if you offered me $100,000 I d do it quickly. Since that s not going to happen, I can acknowledge that this is a matter of priority, not time."

That s it! We have all the time we need for what we want to do. While easier said than done, It CAN be done.

Ahhh..... fishing, that's an easy one -

Prioritize the time!
