Tire Chain - Cut down?

My 8N has 11.2x28 rear Ag tires. I have a set of chains on them. You can see they wrap around quite a bit.

I m getting a new Massey 1526 in a week that has 14-17.5 rear industrial tires.

I should be able to cut these shorter in length and keep the same width probably, right? Or should I sell and buy new ones?

When you get the tractor mount them and see.

If you are keeping the Ford keep the chains to fit it and buy new ones for other tractor.
