I wish there could be a sticky post reminding OP's to please reply back to let posters and readers know what the end solutions were to their posted problems.
Many helpers on this forum give selfishly of their time and expertise to help others, to never find out the end results, which would benefit all of us.
Don't mean to criticize, just think it would make the forum more enjoyable than it already is, to find out the solutions.

I do seriously agree that responses as to outcome would be nice.

Sorry, of course I meant unselfishly. The older I get the more "my" check engine light comes on.

I agree Mr. Hotrod, It would help us all to know what the final fix or out come was.

Quite the assertion for someone with 48 posts.
From my perspective, I have seen since I joined, most everyone posting back that they're out of the woods and why and thanking those who offered help.

A lot of stuff goes without saying.
Every time someone posts a problem new to them, anyone that has had a similar mechanical problem chimes in with how they solved theirs. That's just as good as immediately posting how they solved a problem. There probably wasn't any necessity to comment earlier. Those delayed reactions, the posting of similar problem fixes are just as good as if done at the time of the fix . . . which they are when it really matters anyway.

Stickys or not these are still the best
old tractor forums on the English
speaking internet. There are other
tractor forums that do have stickys but
none of them have the level of expertise
found here.
I do agree about getting back to the
thread with an update tho. We all learn
from it. But maybe when a new poster
asks why his tractor quit running and is
told to check his spark he's so
overwhelmed by the difficulty that he
lets the tractor sit and goes out and
buys a new Yanmar. 😵

32vickyhotrod, don't forget that most members here are on classic view so the thread that they posted to quickly goes to page 2-3-4, so it is out of site, out of mind. I use modern view and every time I visit I first click on the "view your posts" button and I see all of the threads that I have posted to and the ones that have had more posts added to are marked. When someone has posted back about their outcome I thank them for doing so. Your thought is a good one but it is not compatible with the membership here at YT.

I prefer "Modern View" as I can readily see all posts in a particular forum, as well as EACH post and reply without having to backtrack. So, I am not "compatible" because I prefer Modern View? I really enjoy all the forums here, as well as most of the comments, and solutions. I see no reason to denigrate ones choice of viewing methods. Each of us is on the forum to give advice, views, solicit comments, and learn from each other; that is why I come here. I don't run a farm, but I find the information on balers, conditioners, plows, and other implements enlightening, furthering my knowledge. Eventually I might make hay on some of my property for my horses, and what I have learned here is invaluable in making that decision. Looking forward to very much more learned discussion, regardless of the "view". zuhnc
