Is there a gasket between engine & transmission housing?

Hi Everyone,

I could use some advice. Is there a gasket between the engine and clutch/transmission housing? If so, what is the part number? If not, should I use a sealant or metal to metal?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

And be sure there is a big. ol' loose cotter key poked down through the hole in the bottom under the flywheel... the key keeps the hole OPEN to drain.. that's supposed to be a 'dry bay'.

Good morning:
I would like to mention that the cotter key also keeps dirt daubers from crawling into the bell housing and building their dirt or mud structures, possibly in the clutch.

And make sure that the cotter key is bent open enough to keeo it from coming out, and bend it way down at the end, so that it moves easily in the hole.
