restored 9N tractor for sale on CL--thats not how it works!

This is another twist in the saga of that 1939 9N from the Schafer auction that I posted about last week- the seller originally was asking 6100.oo for it, but after a week of not selling, he's UPPED the price to 6500.oo.


Seems to be an oddly optimistic selling strategy........

I dunno, sounds like the classic used car lot/salesman routine.

NO need to sell it "cheap", if you have the means to hang on to it until the right (dumb) buyer comes along it all works out.
 
"Show quality" "not for farm use"

Sounds like his plan is to attract a trailer queen collector or someone who is making a movie.

Even if you back out the advertised cost of the paint job it's still an awful lot of that unit.

sold mine for 6k to a guy in Ireland and it has a lower serial number #2413

All Original? What do you want to bet that there is a 1 3/8 pto under that cap.
