What would be the procedure to take the Sherman lever off to check for a busted detent spring. Tractor is already split getting an engine overhaul. In overdrive when throttleing down fast it jumps out of overdrive and I suspect a busted detent spring tho it might be a bad detent socket. Transmission works good except for the jumping out of gear when in 3rd and overdrive and you come to a stop sign. Also where would be the place to get a new gasket for it? Got enging parts from yt but the overhaul was started 15 year ago and some of the new parts I had were lost like the rod and main bearings. The pan gasket along with the timing cover gasket decayed laying around those 15 years and getting ready to try to order new ones. But I don't think they have Sherman parts.
