It might be a good buy. Just make sure the blades are straight and not all tore up.

Based on a rusty 5' MF I bought for $200, I'd also check that the gearbox is holding its oil. I repaired the broken gearbox end cap and replaced the seal. I sharpened the blades without removing them from the blade bar and replaced the tail wheel post and bearings.

Will an 8N pull a 6 foot brush hog?

Yes.
Will it cut a 6' swath in most of the
stuff guys use them for? Probably not.
Will it lift, heft and carry a 1500 lb
Bush Hog? ?
No.
