N series with v8 conversion

I have seen n series ford tractors all
over the internet with flat head v8
engines in them.

How did they do it?
Was it factory conversion?
Did you gain enough horsepower for it
to make a difference?

I think they look cool i would
appreciate any and all information
that anyone has on this topic

Check out You Tube, all kinds of videos on that subject. Not just flatheads, but 289?s and 302?s as well.

If you need 80 horsepower l suggest you buy one of these. It would be more practical and probably cheaper too.

Not factory. funk made some. Buy or build an adapter for the engine you are planning to use. Agree that if you need more HP just buy a bigger tractor for work purposes. That said here's my 9n with chevy V6 with sherman over drive. It's fast loud and not practical. produces about 150 HP verses original 23 HP. But I like it. Not for everyone.

I was always told they made a factory conversion kit for the flat head v8 conversion so I didn't know
