I found an 8n at a local tractor dealer.

I see every one around here uses them with a Bush hogg.
What is things to look at when looking at the tractor?
I've got a 5ft and 6ft Bush hogg is the 6ft to much for it?

Are parts readily available for them?
Are they easy to work on?

How much will the rear lift pick up?

Thanks for the info

A 6' rough cut mower is too large for an 8N. Use a 5'.

If all is well, the lift should lift more than 750 Lbs.

Ford made nearly 500,000 8N and similar tractors. More parts are readily available for these tractors at reasonable prices than for any other tractor made by anyone. Parts are available just about anywhere.

Very easy to work on.

Late model 8Ns with the distributor mounted on the right side of the engine and the generator on the left side are more desirable than earlier models.

Be advised that the Ford 8N has neither live hydraulics not live PTO.
