messed up the other day got limb in fan which in turn got into radiator , question is why do they make a 4 blade and a 6 blade fan for the n tractors , oh i have a 9n ,Thanks

n old advertisement says, "9N-8600-B. Push-type heavy duty fan keeps motor cool when operating under such extraordinary conditions as high altitude, severe heat and low humidity. Also keeps radiator cells free from becoming clogged with seed, fuzz,or leaves when working in tall or dense growths. Easy to install in place of standard fan. PRICE $1.50". As I said, and "old" advertisement!

here were 6 blade pullers, too.
 
Ford tractor supplied 4 and 6 blade pusher fans as well as 4 and 6 blade pullers. A fan to suit any purpose. OEM fans did vary from time to time and in the wartime era they were referred to as summer or winter fans as in winter alcohol was the only available anti freeze so you needed to run cooler.
