No email in heaven. I am afraid you will have to roll your own or buy one of Red Rocks devices.

It's a shame no one in Zane's family was willing to continue selling his inventions. I've wondered about stopping by and seeing if it would be possible to buy his inventory and offer the things for sale again. He lived about 30 minutes away... Not sure how well received the idea would be. Lucky we are in Alabama and most folks are super nice.
 
Zane Sherman, bless his soul, passed away a few years ago and nobody related is making the Zane Thang anymore. Try Red Rock Eng'g in Pella, IA.

Not sure what's going on here but the
original poster asked where he could get
ahold of Zane to buy a Zane Thang.
He was told the man has passed away and
his position control device is no longer
available, though similar units are
available from other sources.
It seems to me that exactly WHEN our
friend and mentor Zane died is
immaterial. What does matter is he's
gone and the OP will need to find a
different device.
