I have a '51 8N that my father had someone change over to a 12v battery and alternator several years ago. As far as I know, the coil is still 6v and the wiring harness is original. I want to change it to Pertronix. What has to be changed/upgraded in order to do this?

I suspect it is the original wiring harness.
What do I need to change out if I want to FULLY convert it to 12v with electronic ignition?

I'm not sure I've ever seen a partial 12 volt conversion.....

You need a 12v battery, coil and lights and an alternator. Unless you want to get a 12v generator and v/r. Some folks change the starter. Most don't.

Rugerfan - The Pertronix kit with a coil should have everything you need, unless your existing wiring harness is in poor shape.
