NY State Fair didn't have an N Series

I thought this was interesting.

I work as an electronics engineer. A work-related friend of mine is a representative for a couple of chip manufacturers. He visits me at work every so often to update me on the latest. During those visits, we also talk about home, family, etc.

He just bought a camp with a 9N; so he asked me a few things. The first thing that I told him was the overrunning clutch thing for the PTO. Told him it will be the best 60 bucks he ever spent.

Anyway... the picture is a snippet from an email he sent me recently to setup our next work-related meeting...

Can you believe it? The NY State fair didn't have an N-series to display.

There are probably a hundred of them within driving distance...

In further correspondence, he said it was almost exclusively old Johnny Poppers...

To which I thought... yeah... they DO love their old Johnny Poppers in CNY.

went to a show a little while ago to see Kirks V-6 conv . his and only one other N was there. mostly JD, Farmall and a few Cases.

Some fairs exist to show off NEW technology. In today's world, "N's" are a bit outdated, IMHO.

I own a late 8N, and I can look at it anytime i choose, and when at a fair I'd rather see SOMETHING rather than an "N", IMHO.
