slow starter follow up

Just gotta reiterate...these 00 cables are amazing...been shade tree mechanicin for 45 years...never knew the 6 volt systems needed these bigger cables....guess thats automotive too for the old cars...great to always be learning stuff...the grounding to the steering box was my notion...tho I bet its been done before...to say the difference between night and day?...understatement!!

ED ,Night and day difference,0 or 00 cables and shiny starter ends and pocket to.I told you so.LOL Glad you got it fixed.

Glad you got everything working Ed. I saw on one of these posts, not necessarily yours, but a like one, where someone said that the 0/00 gauge cables were only for 6 volt or implied that they wouldn't work for 12 volt. Well, I beg to differ on that. 12 volt will work VERY will with large cables. The reason the industry went with smaller cables with 12 volt systems was cost.

*DING*

NFW was i downsizing my cables when i converted to 12 volts.

I never said that the OO
cables wouldn't work on 12
volts....never even hinted at
it...I mearly said that I
learned that 00 cables fixed
my issue with my 6 volt due
to the experience of
Bruce...Den....PlowNman and
others....And I thank them
for sharing there knowlege...

If you want to take it one step further, get you one of those little hand held gravity feed sandblasters. Use it on all the ground points to remove paint, dirt, rust, and give it an even better ground.
