Hi

My 2n runs great till I start pushing dirt then it quits but starts up right away.

I bought a lower cost carb and put it on now it started doing this and I was wondering if the carb could cause this to happen?

Everything is new from Dist to plugs and wiring harness ( thanks Hobo for the Harness) coil to The old carb Doesn't have any part numbers on it that I can find, So don't know if it can be rebuilt with out those numbers.

Thank You Garry

Number should be stamped into the casting on the teardrop shape opposite the choke lever

Gary, until you get your old carburetor rebuilt, you might try backing out the main jet screw on the new one 1/8 of turn at a time to see if that helps, also you might want to check the float level in it.

I checked the float and it goes to the top so its fine But I just finishing putting the old carb on and no prob pushing now Bad new Carb Don't know why it is But the old one does work.

I cleaned to old carb completely and there is no numbers on it I think it had a tag like the new one does But somebody left it off.It looks like it is the original carb though But I don't know how to find a kit for it without those numbers. Tried to take pictures but the camera won't work either

Glad you got it running. What you ran into is exactly what the experts on here (I'm not one of them), tell everyone. We are better off rebuilding the original parts than buying cheap replacement parts made in the land of almost right. Maybe you need to clean out your camera like you did with your carb. :)
